I’m developing a JOOMLA site (1.5) for a client. She wants the following:
1. A custom Joomla component that manages a daily enewsletter. She wants the best WYSIWYG interface available to enter her text, as she often will paste it from MS Word. I’m famliar with ACAJOOM and it would be OK if you were to modify an existing solution for this project.
2. The articles must be controllable in the JOOMLA backend (in their own area) — she wants the article to appear for a 24-hour period, then automatically post to an archive area. We want full control over the design of the article template — so we can include her site’s logo and contact information in addition to the text of the article.
3. The system will send out a daily email to registered members that contains the article that posts for that day — with a link to the website and the archived articles.
4. The sign-up process is automated and ties to Paypal. They sign-up using a CB-type form, are redirected to Paypal for payment, then are automatically added to the registered database. They will begin to receive their articles immediately (just 1 for that current day). We want the ability to make this service either free or for payment.
5. The system maintains the customer data and ceases all emails when the expiration has been reached (1 year) — with an email from the system prompting them to renew.
6. Along with the system, but perhaps treated as another project — a CB-type form that visitors fill out, go to Paypal to pay, and then get redirected back to a restricted page on the site where she will post a teleconference phone number. They will have access to the number(s) immediately after payment has been received; they will be issued a login and password so that they can revisit the site to get the number the following week. They will have a 1 year membership and will be notified when the membership is over automatically from the system.
In both projects, my client wants full control over the users. If a user needs to be denied services, she wants that control in the back-end to cut that user off from any access to the services described above.
She runs a fairly small company, but feels like this investment is a good one for her business.
