I have a directory of restaurants to be launched shortly and I am getting feedback that the owners of these establishments would like to offer vouchers on my website. The idea of this is both to increase business and to monitor how useful being placed within this directory actually is.

The directory uses Sobi2 and therefore I am thinking that a plug-in would be a good idea. Once developed it could also be sold to other Sobi2 users to recover development costs (or even make a profit).

The basics of how it should it work are that restaurant owners log in, then enters the criteria/rules/details of the voucher and this is then saved. These details form the basics along with existing fields such as the restaurant’s address and logo which will also appear on the voucher creating a professional looking document.

The general public browsing the directory should be able to tell in the category listing which listings have vouchers by use of a small graphic. They can then navigate to the specific restaurant and another click which would then dynamically create the voucher as a PDF (user would need a pdf reader installed on their PC to view). The size of the voucher should be 190mm x 150mm so it will fit onto both US letter and UK/European A4 paper sizes without scaling.

The freelancer will need to be able to show that he has experience of hacking/modifying Sobi2 and also knowledge of PDF formatting as the voucher will need to look impressive.
