Contra site

Contra site is an Internet site where people come to do deals where businesses trade its services or products for another service or product. The small business sector of rife with such deals. The premise is you don’t have cash to spare but you have time and resources to provide instead.
The site will enable businesses and individuals to register a product or service that they are willing to contra. For example:
A lawyer wants a new website built for his firm. He doesn’t want to pay cash but is prepared to provide legal services to web design company in exchange for a new website.
There are several ways businesses and individuals list.
1. A business lists its deal – what it wants and what it has to offer.
2. A business lists its products and services as a general listing interested in any contra proposal.
People or businesses interested in responding can enter into negotiations with the businesses posting the project or deal. This part of the process takes place between the two parties. The person posting the project must have the capacity to screen those who respond and choose the people or businesses they wish to negotiate with. Once the deal has been done, the project is market as closed. The site is an introduction service for contra deals.
Deals will be listed under categories, 10 to start. Visitors can scan some of the deals which would appear on the home page but for full access to view all deals they must register giving their email address, postal address, gender and a phone number.
This access will be free for several months and at some point we will charge a yearly membership fee. The home page will feature great deals. There are similar sites in this space – see www.ourswaps.com.au and www.eswap.com.au
Members are able to post photos of themselves or their product or service. And they can post a 150 description. There is a search facility for deals on the home page and a log in area and the usual contact us and privacy information. It will also feature a WHAT’S NEW section and a search a deal capacity.
In the early stages membership will be free to the point of attracting members and then either a Paypal or merchant facility would come into play.
