Reconnect a database and site

HI,

Ive recently moved a Church related Joomla website to another server and have uploaded the database and FTP’d the site onto the server but cannot reconnect the site with the database.

I’m assuming the config.php file needs to be amended but I haven’t been succesful. So would like someone to sort it out.

So I need someone to have access to the MYSQL database which I have and reconnect the Joomla core to it.
