Curtains website with RomanCart integration

We are planning to launch a commercial website for curtains.

We have in-house web designers with programming capability, however to ease the workload we would also like an external programmer to support and help develop this project.

 Our main issue is that our business is based on RomanCart, so we would like to have suggestions regarding Joomla extensions/carts that can be used as product management tools and shops but pass the data on to RomanCart for shopping basket and checkout (rather than use integrated checkout mechanisms).

We would be open to using different solutions altogether (e.g. Magento or similar) that don't rely on Joomla, so long as integration with RomanCart can be achieved.

 We will welcome your suggestions and we are happy to pay any consultancy or (of course) coding time fees that may apply.
