I have a custom template that works great in joomla 1.0.10 but we are updating joomla to the newest version.
We need our template updated and cleaned up so that it looks great and functions in the newer version of
joomla.

I need the new template to be valid xhtml and css - we want all of the alignment to be done exactly and it
must work in IE6 / IE7 / Safari - it is very critical we are an apple design shop so we will be testing with safari.

Did a forum search, some recommended turning on SEO URLs and Apache mod_rewrite. Made those changes, login started working properly, BUT... images started disappearing (showing only the image file name). Most images still work, but a few were linking to the wrong location. Now when you create a new article (using JCE) the image appears in the editor, but not on the live article. It just shows the name of the image. We started moving some images around via FTP to new folders to match where the site “thought” the images were suppose to be located. This is only a temporary solution.

I need the following...
1.) SEO and Apache mod_rewrite to be set up properly. Friendly URLs if possible.
2.) Editor to work properly. When I insert an image into the editor, front end or back end, I need it to appear properly on the site.
3.) No error on Front End login process. Needs to work as designed.
4.) Maintain existing site functionality.

If successful, not only will I obviously pay for services rendered on this project, but likely will have two other projects on this site. Google Calendar Latest Events seems to “break” the template from RocketTheme. And I also need a successful backup of the current site completed to another host. I already have the account set up. This is additional work NOT included in the current project scope of work.

The web sites will be needed to organize massive amount of content. Browsing the website and clicking a on a popular topic on the home page or on to a-z index or categories will take you to that particular section which will contain different content types.

Long articles should have and article index that links to a particular section of content with that article. All written content should have the option to print, and email. Another function is questions that appear by the print email buttons is a question icon which allow a user to submit a question which appear to the author in a task menu when he or she logs in.

An author should be able to publish to a particular section that he or she is approved for. When logged in an author can see all content (articles, video, pictures) that they have created and all comments that have been made on their articles eg. http://drupal.org/node/284803
He or she can also edit is biography that is displayed on each cont he or she creates.
An invite feature can be helpful but not necessary where and author can view friends and invite friends

A career section should exist where job that are available can be posted and candidates can apply for them.
All content that is created goes through a workflow author- editor- publisher

I want to run multiple sites, with one Joomla 1.5 installation.

Say a user goes to http://www.x.com - Joomla recognises the user went to http://www.x.com and uses the database jos_x - and the header images and etc for http://www.x.com are used.

Again,

Say a user goes to http://www.y.com - Joomla recognises that the user went to http://www.y.com and uses the database jos_y - and the header images and etc for http://www.y.com are used.

So pretty much, a different database for every domain but the same Joomla installation is used. A backend system to facilitate the procedures be included if possible.

I hope to findt someone who van create a plugin for community builder for the following purpose.

I want to make my registration form a tabbed registration form because:

>I have a long Community Builder registration form. This in to much scrolling, so I want to break it appart in different steps / tabs.

>For example in 2 steps. After filling step 1, there will be a button below the form called: . After clicking the NEXT button I go to step 2. After completing step 2 there will be a button called .

>After clicking on finish the form (both steps) will be stored in te database. Just like clicking on finish on a normal form.

So to the point: I want to break a long registration form up in different steps / tabs. Offcourse the different steps may bey shown in tabs, this excludes the button on the botton of the pages (except the finisch button off-cource).

I was hoping to solve my issue with the Community Builder TABS option. But I am unable to load a TAB in a different step.

Hopefully someone can help me out here.

hi, i’m currently using joomla 1.0.12 and i would like to upgrade to .15

the main reason i would like to upgrade is because when i click on an article on the front page of my site, the article opens on the front page with all the modules showing, instead of opening the article as its own page.

it is my understanding that this is caused because of the version of joomla i am using. if you are aware of this issue AND can upgrade my site while doing all the necessary back ups of the database and components, then i will hire you for the job.
